Native tree-clinging birds as handles on a ceramic cup! These were dreamt up from thinking of birds that could theoretically cling to the side of the cup to act as a handle. There are six species I make; red-breasted nuthatch, pygmy nuthatch, brown creeper, downy woodpecker, brown-headed nuthatch and white-breasted nuthatch!
(Finally saw my first brown-headed nuthatch so they are new to the line up! So no images of them yet! Will add once I have made some)

The cups are approximately 4"x4" with the birds adding an inch or two in height/width.
Sculpted from brown stoneware clay and fired to cone 6 with underglaze surface treated bird and food-safe, glazed interior

Cups will be shipped after about 4-6 weeks when they are completed.
All the new packing materials I use are all recyclable and biodegradable. If I use any plastic / non-biodegradable materials they are being reused from packages I have received.
